Position:
Partner/ Principal Associate, Trademarks & Copyright (Prosecution)
Qualification:
8-12 years of law firm experience in trademarks & copyright prosecution
Manage daily client tasks and understand clients’ business concerns
Excellent analytical and drafting skills
Skilled in balancing work responsibilities with business development and administrative duties
Responsibilities:
Providing guidance on trademark availability for use and registration
Assisting with filing applications
Developing strategies for prosecuting trademark applications, including responses and hearings.
Negotiating consent and supervising the drafting of consent letters
Managing large trademark portfolios and overseeing renewals
Advising on and handling complex chain of title matters
Managing foreign filings and collaborating with local counsel in other countries
Demonstrating expertise in the Trade Marks Act, 1999
Experience in copyright prosecution would be beneficial.
