About Sir Baldev Mahajan

Sh. Baldev Raj Mahajan, born on 22 October 1953 in Amritsar, Punjab, is a distinguished legal professional known for his dedication and expertise in Civil Law. After moving to Chandigarh in 1971, he worked as a clerk while pursuing his education, eventually earning an M.A. in Political Science from Rajasthan University and an LL.B. from B.J.S. Rampuria Jain College, Bikaner.

Enrolling as an Advocate in 1982, he began his legal career under the mentorship of Sh. D.V. Sehgal and started practicing independently in 1985. Sh. Mahajan has been actively involved with the Akhil Bhartiya Adhivakta Parishad, serving in various leadership roles, including National President. His career is also marked by his association with several social organizations, such as the Mahajan Sabha Chandigarh and the Hindustan Samachar Agency.

Designated as a Senior Advocate by the Punjab and Haryana High Court in 2014, he was appointed Advocate General of Haryana on 10 November 2014. His office offers aspiring legal professionals a valuable opportunity to gain insights and experience under his esteemed guidance.

Main tasks:

* Conduct legal research and contribute to drafting legal opinions.

Eligibility – Any law students pursuing a 3yr or 5yr integrated course.

Selection- It will be on the basis of merit. Students studying in Law Colleges/Universities situated in Haryana will be given preference.

Deadline – The application for internship should be submitted before the filling of seats. It is recommended to apply at least a month or two prior.
