About SFIO

The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) is a multi- disciplinary organization under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. It is an investigating agency tasked with investigating corporate fraud and consists of experts in the field of accountancy, forensic audit, general law, information technology, investigation, company law, Income Tax, etc. The SFIO started its internship programme in 2017.

Internship Period:

Minimum one month and maximum two months.

Stipend:

Rs 7000/- per month

Location:

New Delhi

Eligibility:

• Law students-

4th/ 5th year of five year law degree with consistent and excellent academic records;

Fresh graduates with excellent academic records and first class graduation degree;

Students pursuing post- graduation with at least 55% marks in graduation degree.

• Students pursuing post graduation in MBA (Finance) 

• Pursuing masters/ research courses in Economic/ Finance/ management/ Law 

• Pursuing final year or equivalent of ICAI/ ICAI (CMA)/ ICSI/ Central Universities/ AICTE Recognized Financial/ Economic Institutions/ Recognized National Management Institutions/ Foreign Universities

Deadline:

Internship is open throughout the year.

The last date for receipt of application - 15th June, 2024.

How to Apply?

• The names of interested students (in the prescribed format) be sent to the SFIO Office by respective institutions. 

• All applications received will be scrutinized by a Selection Committee and students will be selected subject to the availability of slots and recommendation of the Selection Committee.

• The maximum number of interns interning at a given time is six.

Main task:

The interns will be required to present an assignment report on the allotted subject at the end of the internship.
