About the National Green Tribunal:

The National Green Tribunal was established on 18th October, 2010 under the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010. It is a specialized body established with the objective of disposing off cases relating to environmental protection in an effective and expeditious manner, including enforcement of any legal right relating to the environment.

Place:

National Green Tribunal, New Delhi (Principal Bench), Faridkot House.

Internship Period:

Duration- 4 weeks

Summer Internship Programme- March/ April/ May/ July

Winter Internship Programme- November/ December/ January

Stipend:

Unpaid

Eligibility:

·       Law students-

Students pursuing three- year and five- year law degree course or LLM from any recognized College/ Law School/ University

·       Students pursuing degree in environmental studies.

Deadline:

1st February (in case of the Summer Internship Programme)

1st October (in case of the Winter Internship Programme)

Mode:

Offline

Tasks:

·       Prepare daily case briefs.

·       Prepare notes on assigned studies.

·       Interns will be required to present a research paper/ report on a selected topic at the end of their internship.

·       Interested students may send their applications in the prescribed format on or before the last date.

·       Applications can also be mailed at admn.ngt@nic.in.

·       Depending upon the availability of slot and approval of the Authority, the offer will be sent to the selected students.

·       After receiving intimation from the office, students will be required to produce a recommendation/ no- objection letter from their Director or Head of Department.

·       A certificate will be issued at the end of Internship to the Intern.
