About St. Joseph’s University
St. Joseph’s University, a Jesuit institution in Bengaluru, was established in 1882 by the Paris Foreign Mission Fathers, with management taken over by the Jesuits in 1937. Originally affiliated with the University of Madras, it later aligned with Mysore and Bangalore universities. The college was the first in Karnataka to offer postgraduate programs in 1986 and established the state’s first Research Centre in 1988. In 2022, it became India’s first Public-Private-Partnership University, inaugurated by the Honourable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.
About University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR)
The University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR) was founded in 1973 by industrialist Edson Queiroz as part of the Brazilian University Reform of 1968. Established to support the development of Brazil’s Northeast region, UNIFOR aimed to provide essential education to the area.

Theme
The conference centers on legal themes related to AI, including AI and Personalhood (Afro-communitarianism), privacy and data protection, intellectual property rights (both for AI-created works and AI itself), human rights, labor laws, competition law, malpractice claims, AI’s integration of IQ and EQ, citizen rights, security, taxation, and its implications in warfare and terrorism. Additionally, it will explore issues of liability (vicarious, product, and criminal), the future of AI, and the need for international cooperation.
