4th KL Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2024 (Register by July 1)

ABOUT THE COMPETITION:

4th Koneru Lakshmaiah Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2024 is being organized by The Society for Debating and Mooting (SDM), KLEF College Of Law, KL Deemed to be University, Andhra Pradesh. The moot problem of the competition revolves around the criminal trial. The competition will take place in hybrid mode (24th- 25th July in Online Mode and 30th- 31st Aug in Offline Mode). This competition provides a platform and a great opportunity for students to showcase their advocacy, oratory and research skills.

MODE OF COMPETITION:

Hybrid mode.

IMPORTANT DATES:

• Last date of Registration- 1st July

• Last date for clarifications- 3rd July

• Last Date for Memorials Submission (soft copies)- 10th July

• Last date for receiving of memorials (hard copies)- 15th July

• Preliminary rounds will take place in online mode on 24th- 25th July

• The top 16 teams will be selected for offline rounds.

• Inaugural Ceremony: 29 Aug

• Researcher’s Test: 29 Aug

• Offline Rounds: 30th- 31st Aug

ELIGIBILITY:

• Students enrolled in 3 year or 5 year undergraduate law courses can register themselves for this competition.

• The team of participants may either comprise two members (both speakers with one of them designated as researcher) or three members (two speakers and one researcher).

HOW TO REGISTER?

• Participating teams shall get themselves registered online via Google Forms.

• The registration fee for the competition is ₹2500/- (excluding food and lodging) and ₹1950/- for accommodation and food (per day per team).

• The teams will receive an official mail confirming their registration latest by 7th July, 2024.

• Unique team codes will be allotted to the teams.

• The teams may request for clarifications regarding the moot proposition by sending them to sdm_klef@kluniversity.in by 3rd July, 2024.

• Teams shall prepare two memorials (one from each petitioner and respondent side) and submit in both .pdf and .doc/ .docx format and submit them online via google form.

• Hard copy of memorials shall be sent via post by 15th July.

AWARDS:

• Winner- Rs. 25,000/-

• Runner Up - Rs. 15,000/-

• Best Memorial - Rs. 5,000/-

• Best Student Advocate - Rs. 5,000/-

• Best Researcher- Rs. 5,000/-

• Certificate of Participation to all the participants.
