3rd Virtual International Negotiation Competition, 2024
ABOUT THE COMPETITION:
3rd Virtual International Negotiation Competition, 2024 (VINC’24) is being organized by MediateGuru from 18th July to 21st July in online mode. MediateGuru is a social organization led by members across the world to create a social awareness about Alternate Dispute Resolution Methods and showcase mediation as a future of dispute resolution. This competition has been organized with an aim to provide an opportunity to law students to practice and improve their negotiation skills. Registration is based on first come, first serve.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Release of Negotiation Problem (before 1st July 2024)
Negotiation Plan Submission (16th July 2024)
Preliminary Round 1 (18th July 2024)
Preliminary Round 2 (19th July 2024)
Quarter Final (20th July 2024)
Semi Final (20th July 2024)
Final Round (21st July 2024)
TEAM COMPOSITION:
The team must contain two eligible students- one counsel and another client.
HOW TO REGISTER?
Firstly, the teams have to fill the provisional registration form online via google forms by link given here: https://forms.gle/KEeZRW2W6tgsz8j68
Then, communication of acceptance of the provisional registration will be given via email.
Within 3 days of the receipt of confirmation mail, teams have to get themselves officially registered.
Along with registration, the participants are required to pay registration fees.
The team shall email a scanned copy of the duly- filled registration form and payment form along with payment receipt.
The participation will be on the basis of first come, first serve.
REGISTRATION FEES:
The registration fees per team shall be:
For Indian Students: Rs. 3000/-
For European Students: £60/-
For other International Students: $60
NEGOTIATION PLAN SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Each Participating Team shall submit a negotiation plan (the "Negotiation Plan") for only the first Negotiation Session in the Preliminary Rounds.
It shall contain a case analysis evaluating the respective strong points and weak points of each party, their respective needs and interests and their BATNAs and WATNAs.
Clarifications to the Negotiation simulations can be submitted by 16th July, 2024 at admin@mediateguru.com.
Negotiation Pan must be typed on white A4 sheet with black ink
Not more than 2 pages long.
Text must be in Times New Roman, size 12, single line spacing, 1 inch or 2.54 cm margin on all sides, no footnotes.
Identity should not be disclosed by the team.
Submission of the Negotiation Plans for all Preliminary Rounds Negotiation Simulations must be by email with .doc/.docx and .pdf file extensions on or before the Submission Date i.e., 17th July 2024.
