Sadanlal Sanwaldas Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj, a Constituent College of the University of Allahabad, has consistently maintained high standards in education, earning an 'A' grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the last two consecutive five-year cycles. The college has been affiliated with the B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) program by the Bar Council of India and the University of Allahabad, under the Saroj Lalji Mehrotra Centre of Legal Studies, since 2019. The Centre, in collaboration with the esteemed law firm Chandhiok and Mahajan, SCC Online as the Knowledge Partner, and SCC Times as the Media Partner, is organizing the 2nd Justice Gopalji Mehrotra National Moot Court Competition on the 16th and 17th of November 2024.

Venue and Date:

Offline mode, 16th to 17th of November 2024 at S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj.

Eligibility:

The Competition is open to students who are currently enrolled in any Five Year Integrated Course in Law in India, provided that the institution is officially recognized by the Bar Council of India, or to students who are currently enrolled in any undergraduate law course at any Central University in India. Each institution is limited to send only ONE team in the competition. Cross-institutional/mixed-team participation is not allowed.

Awards:

• The winner :2,00,000

• Runners-up:1,00,000

• Best memorial: 30,000

• Best Speaker: 30,000

• Best Researcher: 30,000

• Each member of the Winning Team shall be provided one-year complimentary subscription to SCC Online Web Edition worth Rs. 24,000 each.

• Winners and Runners-Up shall be provided with copies of new Criminal Manual.

• One month access to the SCC Online Web Edition valued at Rs. 1099 each shall be provided to all participants.

• Release of invitation and Moot Problem: August 10, 2024

• Opening of Rulebook and brouchre: August 20, 2024

• Online Provisional Registration Commences: August 21, 2024

• Provisional Registration Closes: September 22, 2024

• Last Date to Seek Clarification: September 22, 2024

• Release of Clarification: September 28, 2024

• Last Date of Memorial Submission: October 5, 2024

• Release of shortlisted Teams: October 25, 2024

• Last date for Final Registration and Payment of Registration Fee : November 1, 2024

• Last Date to Submit Hard Copy of the Memorials: November 10th, 2024

• Dates of the Competition: November 16-17, 2024

Registration details:

The registration fee is Rs. 3000 per team. Team includes two speakers and one researcher. The registration fee shall be payable if the team is shortlisted to participate in the Oral Rounds.

Accomodation And Hospitality:

Accommodation shall be provided to all the participants by the organisers for two nights and three days. Local transportation from and to the venue of competition shall also be provided by the organisers.
