About the Competition
Rayat College of Law is excited to host the 12th edition of the RCL National Moot Court Competition in 2024. The competition has grown in stature and continues to challenge participants with thought-provoking propositions and high-quality judging, making it a much-anticipated event for law students nationwide.
Competition Guidelines
Dress Code: Formal attire is mandatory, including coats and ties. Participants must make their own arrangements.
Anonymity: Teams must not disclose their identities or their college affiliations to the judges. Doing so will result in immediate disqualification. Teams will only be identified by their codes, provided at the time of memorial submission.
Language: The proceedings will be conducted in English.
Courtroom Procedure: The court will follow standard rules of judicial practice. The court's decision on procedural or factual disputes will be final.
Conduct: Teams must maintain dignity and professionalism throughout the competition. Any inappropriate behavior will result in disqualification or a penalty of 5 points, as determined by the judges.
Scouting: Any form of scouting is strictly prohibited.
Audience Restrictions: No team member or person associated with a team is allowed to attend a round in which their team is not competing.
Awards
Winner: ₹11,000 + 1-year subscription to SCC Online Web Edition
Runner-Up: ₹8,000 + 1-year subscription to EBC Learning
Best Speaker: ₹5,000
Best Researcher: ₹5,000
All participants will receive certificates and 1-month access to SCC Online.
